When we were children, I learned woodcuts in school classes.
The other day the staff found it at a souvenir shop in Takayama city.
I feel very nostalgic.

私たちが子供の頃、学校の授業で木版画を習いました。
先日スタッフが高山市内のお土産屋さんで見つけて「懐かしいーーー」とパチリ。

どこかホッとする皆様の懐かしい思い出話も、聞かせて下さい♪

「こういう風かな？ やっぱりこっちの方がいいかな？」
仕事中より真面目な顔つきで（？）料理長が作ったかまくらを見て…皆が負けじとアイデアを出し合い完成しました！

さすがに長年この雪を触ってきた師匠の速さに料理長ちょっと悔しそう（笑）

Do you know Kamakura (Japanese igloo)?

Kamakura is a hut made of hardened snow with scooping a hollow to accomodate persons.
It is built in winter, especially at snowy place along northen coast facing Japan Sea.
In the new year, people put an alter inside it for the god of water and pray for getting good harvest of the year.
Children stay inside it and enjoy baking Mochi, rice cake or play singing traditional songs.
When it gets dark, candles are lit inside each Kamakura, that makes the winter scenary of those area very fantastical.

On 24th Jan, our chef was off.
But, he came to Wanosato to remove the snow!
He is not just skillful knife handling, also he can remove the snow. lol

お休み返上で、料理長が除雪に駆け付けてくれました！
良かったーーー。

華麗なのは包丁捌きだけじゃなかった！
貴重なお休みだったため、何やらブツブツ聞こえてきそうですが（笑）
これで安心です。ありがとうございます！
