【居心地のよいリノベーション街づくり】
快晴の昨日は宿から40分ほどの黒磯駅の近くにあるアウトドア用品店のLUNETTESに行きました。古い家屋2軒の1階部分を使った落ち着いた店内は、大がかりなリノベーションをすることなくセンスよくまとめられています。隣にはヴィーガン・オーガニック・サステーナブルがコンセプトのレストランと自然食品店のHIKARI SHOKUDOが、向かいには家具や雑貨を扱うROOMS、その並びにはレストラン、ゲストハウス、物販の複合施設のChus チャウス、さらにその隣には伝説のカフェSHOZO黒磯本店と魅力的な店が50mほどのエリアに集積しています。SHOZOカフェに端を発するリノベーション街づくりのショーケースのようなこの店舗群は、小奇麗なだけで面白みに欠ける企業主導の開発にはない居心地のよさがあります。

【最小限が心地よい】
台風一過の今朝は雲ひとつない青空が広がりました。快晴に誘われて阿武隈源流を歩きましたが降り続いた雨で至る所に沢ができ、見慣れた清流はラフティングができそうな激流に変わっています。
昨日は那須にある非電化カフェに行きました。非電化製品を売るショップを併設したカフェとアトリエ、ツリーハウスなどで構成され、エネルギーを浪費しない生活を提案しています。
灯油ランプの灯るカフェにいると時間もゆっくりと流れ、消費生活を最小限にするダウンサイジングの生き方が何とも心地よく思える場所です。
【A minimum is comfortable】
A blue sky all clear this morning of the typhoon pass opened. I am invited to beautiful weather and walked the Abukuma source, but a swamp is made from the rain which continued to fall everywhere, and the familiar clear stream is strange by the torrent which I seem to be able to raft for.
I went to a non-electrification cafe in Nasu yesterday. I am constructed in the cafe attached to a shop selling a non-electric appliance and an atelier, a tree house and suggest life not to waste energy on.
It is the place that way of life of the downsizing to minimize a flow, consumer life slowly at time is very comfortable, and thinks that I am to the cafe which the kerosene lamp burns.

【冒険的な刺激】
今日の新甲子温泉は冷たい雨が降り続いています。昨夜は今日の白河駅伝に出場する40人に泊まっていただきました。駅伝と山の違いはあってもランニング競技をする者同士は初めてでも気安さがあります。
昨年の冬から宿に住み始めたこともありトレイルレースにも1年近く出ていません。今日は悪天候のなか友人は信越五岳100マイルレースなど天文学的な距離のレースに出ていますが、安楽な日々の生活に慣れてしまうとこのような過酷なレースが自分とは無縁の世界に思えます。
自らを限界まで追い込むようなレースに人々が引き付けられることにはやはり不思議な感覚があります。それでも早く宿の経営を安定させてあの冒険的な刺激に満ちたトレイルレースに復帰したいと思います。

Cold in today's Shinkashi Onsen rain has been falling. I had 40 people who participated in today's Shirakawa relay road race stay last night. Even if there is difference in relay road race and the mountain, as for the running people playing a game, there is familiarity even for the first time.
I have begun to live in the hotel from last winter and do not go for a trail race for nearly one year either. The friend goes for a race of the astronomical distance including 100 miles of Mt. Shinetsu five races in bad weather, but such a severe race thinks that it fits comfortable daily life today in the world where is unrelated to oneself.
After all it has a mysterious sense that people are attracted by a race driving oneself into to the limit. Still I want to return to the trail race that I stabilize the management of the hotel early, and was full of that risky stimulation.

【時間の概念がない仕事】
昨日はパエリアの燃料をもらいにお世話になっている工務店の施工現場に行き、スーパーの開店まで時間があったので戊辰戦争白河口の戦いの激戦地稲荷山を歩きました。1日だけで旧幕府側700人が戦死する激戦があったとは思えない小さな丘には権兵衛稲荷神社とおそらく激戦を見てきたであろう大木があります。
16時頃には那須湯元温泉の鹿の湯に行き閉店まで高温浴を楽しみました。もちろん遊んでばかりいるわけではなくやるべき仕事はだいたい済ませました。日の出前から20時頃まで働いていますので、労働時間にすれば短くないはずですが、一日遊んで終わったという印象です。
仕事に疲れるとお茶とイスを持って阿武隈源流に行けばそこが最高のカフェになりますので、どこまでが仕事なのか境界もあいまいで労働時間という概念自体がありません。長年仕事とプライベートを区切る時間労働をする習慣があっただけにこの感覚は新鮮です。
【Work without a concept of the time】
I went to the construction spot of the engineering firm which was taken care of to get fuel of the paella, and walked site of a hard-fought battle Inariyma of the fight of the Boshin War at Shirakawa yesterday because had time until the opening of a store of the supermarket. There are Inari Shinto shrine and the big tree which probably would watch a fierce battle in the small hill which does not think that there was the fierce battle that 700 old Shogunate side is killed in action only in one day.
I went to Shikanoyu of Nasu Yumoto Onsen at about 16:00 and enjoyed a high warm bath until closing a shop. Of course generally I finished the work that I did not play and should do. Because I work before the sunrise until about 20:00, it cannot have a short it if I do it in working hours, but is the impression that has finished playing all day long.
Because there becomes the best cafe if I go to the Abukuma source with tea and a chair when tired from work, the border is vague where works, and there is no concept in itself called working hours. As there was a custom laboring at time to divide work and a private for many years, this sense is fresh.
