【産業革命の名残】
東京で生活をすると、都心に出るために満員電車に乗ります。たまに乗る通勤電車でさえ体力を消耗します。後世の人はこの通勤風景を、非人道的な産業革命の名残として奇異の目で見ると思います。サラリーマンは一日の消費エネルギーの83%を通勤に使うとのデータがあり、生涯に使うエネルギーの多くを通勤に割くことは無駄だと思います。毎朝同じ時間に同じ場所に通う非効率な働き方を30年も続けて来たことは今となっては驚異です。幸福度が高いとされるデンマークでは、自分の仕事を自主的にコントロールし、多くの人が自分の仕事が好きだと聞きます。無自覚のまま人生の主体性を放棄し、会社に人生を預ける日本人の世界幸福度ランキングが50位にも入らないのは無理もないことです。自然のなかでの運動が仕事の生産性を飛躍的に高めることを広めて行きたいと思います。

I abandon the independence of will of the life as lack of self-consciousness, and it is no wonder that the 50th place does not contain world well-being ranking to leave the life with the company of Japanese either. I want to spread that exercise in nature raises productivity of the work drastically.

【人体や健康の常識が変わる】
この週末は時間があり、しばらく積んであった本を5、6冊読みました。図書館に近くなった仮住まいは、年間300冊程を乱読する自分にとり恵まれた環境です。以前は読む本の大半がビジネス書でしたが、今は人体や健康に関する本が中心です。自身の関心が変化したとことに加え、ビジネス関連の情報はインターネット経由で得られるものが増え、経営手法の進化も停滞しているからだと思います。他方で人体や健康の分野は、この20年でもたらされた知見が従来の常識を大きく変えようとしていて興味が尽きません。

【脳がハイジャックされる食べ放題】
昨日の朝は港北のイケアに行きました。8時半から営業するレストランは写真のメニューにカレーがついて二人で800円と安い上に飲み物は無料です。最近売り場に元気のないイケアの起死回生策なのか、期間限定のワンプレート800円の食べ放題には人が群がっています。パンケーキ7、8枚を乗せるのは普通で、なかには15cmほどあるソーセージを10本以上積み上げその上にパンケーキがかろうじてはりついているというツワモノもいて、イケアへの恨みでもあるのかと思うほどです。食べ放題は本能の解放が許される数少ない場ですが、感情に支配され合理的な思考が止まる脳がハイジャックされた状態だと思います。

東ヨーロッパで初めて開催された2018 FIFAワールドカップは、盛り上がりに欠ける印象です。元来スポーツ観戦に興味がないのですが、例外は自分がするスポーツです。昨日は録画していた、富士山をめぐる168kmのトレイルレースULTRA-TRAIL Mt.FUJIを見ました。自分の知るコースを、知人が走る、自分で唯一やるスポーツですので、テレビを見ていて心を動かされます。創作活動をしない人が美術館や音楽会に行っても、幸福感が高まらないように、自分の身体とシンクロしない娯楽に人間の脳は反応しないと思います。外食も同様で、料理を作るようになってから食材や調理プロセスに想像をめぐらすことで楽しめるようになりました。
