【幸せな古い旅館暮らし】
源流の森での暮らしを始めて9ヶ月が過ぎ、今のぼくにとって都会だけで暮らすという選択肢は考えられなくなりました。通勤は無理にしても福島と栃木の県境にある新甲子温泉から東京へ出ることは比較的容易です。東北自動車道に近いスピードで流れる新国道4号線を使えば、フィアットパンダなら片道1,000円ほどの燃料費だけで刺激にあふれる東京に出ることができます。
盛夏の新甲子温泉並みに涼しくなった代官山を歩くと、億ションからは明るい色のベントレーのSUVベンテイガが出てきます。代官山 T-SITEには派手な2台のマクラーレンが置かれ、人と金が集まる世界最大規模の都市圏の面目躍如といったところです。
こうした消費様式は、高いから良いと信じられている資本主義的な価値観であって、先進国で静かなブームを起こし始めた「物欲なき世界」とは真逆の生き方です。今のぼくが物欲の呪縛から完全に自由になったわけではありませんが、代官山の億ションよりは阿武隈源流の古い旅館暮らしの方が幸せだと思えます。

【森から始まる一日】
今朝の新甲子温泉は澄み切った気持ちのよい青空が広がっています。半袖で過ごせる季節が終わり、冷たい空気が肌に心地よい秋の訪れです。夜明けとともにラブラドールと剣桂神社に向かいました。夏に雨が多かったため至る所で沢音が響きます。
阿武隈源流の森に太陽が差し込み、目覚めたばかりの木々に生命力を与えているようです。森の空気がストレスホルモンを減らすことが分かっていますが、この森から一日を始められることに感謝する気持ちになります。
【Day to begin in the forest】

The sun comes in in the forest of the Abukuma source and seems to give the trees which just woke vitality. I understand that the air of the forest reduces stress hormone, but it is in a feeling to thank for a day being begun with this forest.

【共振こそが宿の価値】
今朝は快晴で、3時過ぎの温泉からは満天の星空を望めます。天候不順だった今年の夏は晴天に恵まれませんでしたが、一昨日あたりから青空が戻ってきました。ここ新甲子温泉一帯は阿武隈源流の地として知られますが、降水量が多いゆえに源流であり、那須おろしのような風が強い地域なので雲が通過するのだと思います。
今朝は古くからの妻の友人夫妻と茶臼岳に登りました。山頂付近の気温は10.2度で生憎の強風のために冬のような寒さです。しかし下山して温泉に入ったあと、青空のもと火を囲む朝食のひと時は豪華ではないけど十分に幸せです。趣味嗜好の近い人との会話ほど楽しいものはなく、こうした共振関係こそが宿の価値だと思います。
宿の庭木には不思議なキノコが群生しています。

【自然の近くの暮らし】
昨日も気持ちのよい快晴で、宿からは特徴的な旭岳の美しい稜線が眺められます。
朝夕の新甲子温泉はすっかり秋の気配が漂います。天気が悪くない限り阿武隈源流と剣桂神社の2km弱のトレイルを歩きます。清流の傍らに来ると清らかな気持ちになります。早朝の朝霧や、日が差し込む原生林を歩くときは、自然と生きていることへの感謝の念がわきます。日が沈み薄暗くなった森を抜け剣桂神社で手をあわせると、今日一日の行いを反省する気持ちになります。都市の暮らしはあわただしく、同じ日本にいながら気候や時間の移り変わりに何かを感じることがありません。人間は自然の近くで暮らすべきだと思います。
【Living near nature】
By comfortable beautiful weather, I went to south lake Park yesterday. I can look at a beautiful ridgeline of characteristic Asahidake from a hotel.
There is a really autumn sign in Shinkashi Onsen of morning and evening. I walk the Abukuma source and the trail of a little less than 2km of sword Katsura Shrine unless weather is bad. I feel clean when I come besides a clear stream. When I walk early-morning morning fog and the virgin forest which a day inserts, nature and the feeling of gratitude to living are heated. When a day sets and pull the forest which became dusky and puts hands together in sword Katsura Shrine, it is in a feeling to reflect on an act of the day today. The living of the city may not feel something for a climate and a change of the time while being in same Japan busily. I think that the human being should live near nature.
