【違和感のある未来】
昨日はフィアットを定期点検に出しました。4年で8万km以上走るのは過去最速のペースです。この2年は福島と東京を往復しているために年間3万km走ったことになります。納車以来の燃費が19km/Lの1.2Lディーゼルは二拠点居住の最良の友です。以前は車そのものが好きでしたが、今は運転が好きです。運転を楽しむならスポーツのような身体感覚が残る小さい車に限ります。いかにも乗せられている大きな車や、運転していることを忘れるほど快適な車、生体リズムと相容れない別世界の速さの車には興味がわきません。自分の体より大きな車を動かし、人間の身体能力を遥かに超える速度で走行できることに興奮し人は攻撃性を高めると言われます。一昨日銀座で見た日産のコンセプトカーは未来を感じさせるものの、運転の楽しさから遠ざかっているように見えます。

仮住まいに引越して3ヶ月が過ぎ、一度は片付いていた部屋には物があふれています。部屋が散らかる原因は収納容量の不足と流入量の過多が考えられます。現在の35平米の住まいでも以前の70平米のときでも同様に散らかっていたので、原因は後者で部屋に入ってくるものに対して出て行くものが少なく滞っていることです。散らかっているものは書類と食糧・日用消耗品です。書類は定期的にPDF化しているのですが一部電子化できないものがあり収納場所が必要です。他方で食糧・日用消耗品は収納庫のなかで物が滞ることを考えると、収納せずに目の届く場所に露出させる方が良いと思います。最悪の解決法はバッファーとなる収納場所の増設であることは、20数年手付かずで収納されていた物を大量に捨てた今回の引越しでよく分かりました。

今朝は北高尾から陣馬山を経て南高尾までの35.11kmのトレランに行きました。累積標高は2,370mあり、週末に登った南アルプスの塩見岳（標高3,052m）の1,984mを凌ぎます。もう時効でしょうけど、サラリーマン時代も早朝の高尾山に登ることがありました。こういう社員がいるから管理が強化されるのですけど、ぼくは成果さえ測定していれば裁量労働の方が生産性は高いと考えています。大企業に見られるコンプライアンスに名を借りた病的なレベルの社内統制は企業の競争力を奪っています。コンプライアンスは費用対効果を考慮するリスクマネジメントとは別物で、経営陣の保身と利権拡大の道具にされているふしがあります。法令順守という一種の恐怖政治が社員を萎縮させる弊害は少なくありません。さらに深刻な問題は社員が判断や思考をしなくなることです。コンプライアンスを優先する企業の行き着く先はAIとロボットだけの会社だと思います。
