【晩秋の風情】
宿の庭にあるドウダンつつじが日増しに色づき秋の足音を感じます。夕方戸外にいるとつるべ落としのようにあたりは暗くなります。東京に住んでいた感覚からすると、夏のない新甲子温泉のこの季節は晩秋の風情さえあります。
昨日は白河に出る途中で西郷瀞（にしごうとろ）に寄りました。阿武隈川の河原まで車で入れる場所で夏は賑わうのでしょう。涼しい新甲子温泉にいると夏でも川に入ろうという気にはなりませんが、夏の朝にバーベキューでもしたくなります。
秋になったためか、最近は宿に猿の群れが出没するようになりました。ラブラドールがうなり始めますので猿が来るのが分かります。写真は昨日の夕方宿の屋根に登っていた二匹の猿です。
【Taste of the late fall】
The doe Dan azalea in the garden of the hotel changes color day by day and feels autumn footsteps. The area becomes dark like a well bucket last joke when in the open air in the evening. Judging from the sense that lived in Tokyo, there is even taste of the late fall in this season of summer Shinkashi Onsen that there is not.
I was in the middle of going to Shirakawa and stopped at Nishigo-toro yesterday. It will be to be full in the summer at a place to put by car to the riverbank of Abukuma River. I do not bring myself that it is said as far as I am in cool Shinkashi Onsen to enter the river even in the summer, but even a barbecue comes to want to do it in summer morning.
A flock of monkeys came to appear frequently at the hotel recently probably because it was autumn. I understand that a monkey comes because Labrador begins to howl. The photograph is two monkeys which climbed the roof of the hotel on the evening of yesterday.

【一日を始めるリトリート】
今朝の新甲子温泉は、すっかり秋らしくなった森に太陽が差し込みます。ブナ原生林が広がる源流の遊歩道は、毎日来ているのに発見があり、表情を変える神秘の森です。巨大な楢の木が巨岩を抱いた場所はぼくにとってのパワースポットです。ここに佇み澄んだ清流を眺めていると、自分がこれまで積み重ねてきたことやこだわりなどの執着はどうでもよくなります。わずか2kmに満たない散歩道ですが、ぼくにとっては一日を始めるリトリートです。
【Re-treat beginning a day】
The sun completely inserts Shinkashi Onsen this morning in the forest which came to seem to be autumn. In the promenade of the source where a beech virgin forest spreads out, there is discovery to come every day and is a mysterious forest to change an expression into. The place where the tree of huge Japanese oak held a huge rock in is a power spot for me. When I stand still here and look at a clear clear stream, I come to do not care the deep attachment such as a thing or the feelings that oneself piled up so far. It is a promenade less than only 2km, but is a re-treat beginning a day for me.

【FB友達限定の宿】
今朝の阿武隈源流はさわやかな秋らしい青空が広がります。昨夜は那須おろしを思わせる強風が吹きましたが温泉から見上げる星空が真冬のような美しさでした。昨年の冬から宿での暮らしを始めて毎日考えるのは旅館再生のアイデアです。
これまでの旅館再生は一定規模の投資をしてそれ以上の収入をあげる方式でしたので、立派な施設ばかりが対象でした。しかし日本各地で朽ち果てようとしている零細旅館は立派な施設ではありません。追加投資ができず施設面で価値向上がはかれない以上、勝負すべきはソフトです。それはゲストとホストの共振関係だと思います。50歳を過ぎてから運動にはまったぼくにとって一番気心が知れるのはアスリートです。
夏には日本最強のトレイルランニングチームに宿泊いただきましたし、先週は広野町代表駅伝チーム、今週末も白河駅伝の参加チームが宿泊します。アスリートは規則正しい生活で夜更かしをしないし、起床時間も早く、時間も正確です。リネン類がたたまれた客室はチェックイン前と同じ状態に戻され、ごみの分別もペットボトルのラベルをはがすなど統制が取れたグループです。
以前、旅館経営者が異口同音に「親戚の家に泊まるような宿にしたい」といっていた意味が最近になってわかりました。そのときは真心を込めるといった意味だと解釈していたのですが、親戚ならお互いそれほど気兼ねがないということだと思います。
知らない人と同じ屋根の下で過ごすのは落ち着かないものです。いずれFB友達かリアルな友人しか泊めない宿にしたいと思いますが、17室ならそれができると思います。
【FB friend-limited hotel】
The blue sky like the autumn when the Abukuma source this morning is refreshing opens. I had the Japanese strongest trail running team stay in summer, and a participation team of the Shirakawa relay road race stays last week at Hirono-machi representative relay road race team, the end of this week. The athlete does not stay up late in regular life, and the hour of rising is early, and the time is correct. If the guest room where linen was able to furl is before check-in, it is gone back up in the same state, and the classification of the garbage tears off the label of the plastic bottle, and control is a produced group.

【旅館らしくない宿】
雨上がりの今朝の新甲子温泉は寒くありません。標高1,549mの甲子山は見えますがその背後の旭岳山頂を雲が覆います。剣桂神社の森は葉が散り始め、温泉管の鉄橋が見えるようになりました。阿武隈源流の森にも光が差し込み明るくなりました。
「人生はあわてず、あせらず、あきらめず」先週とある神社の前を通ったときに目に留まった標語です。松下幸之助さんも同じことを言ったそうですが、今のぼくに一番響く言葉です。独立して一年が過ぎても赤字が止まったわけではありません。しかしあせって手数料を払って集客したり、安売り、来るもの拒まずの営業は自らの首を絞めるものです。
今世間ではインバウンドブームで旅館やホテルが潤っていると思う人がいるかもしれませんが、それは首都圏を中心とした一部の地域に限った話です。多くの温泉地等では厳しい状態が続いています。廃業旅館の多くが後継者不在をあげていますが、働き通しの3K職場では子供がいても継いでくれません。旅館再生で大切なのは、まず若い人たちが働きたい職場に変えることだと思います。開業以来4ヶ月、試行錯誤をしながら運営スタイルを変えてきましたが、ぼくは宿から旅館らしさを一掃したいと思っています。従来の旅館らしいサービスはすべて過度な負担を宿側に負わせるものだったと思います。
【The hotel which does not seem to be a Ryokan】

There may be a person thinking that an inn and a hotel are moistened in an in bound boom in the world, but it is the story that local limited of a part around the metropolitan area now. A severe state continues in many hot spring resorts. Most of business closing inns give successor absence, but do not inherit it even if a child is in the 3K workplace keeping on working. I think that at first it is to change it into the job that young people want to commit that it is inn reproduction, and is important. I changed administration-style while making trial and error since the opening of business for four months, but I want to sweep away a quality of inn from a hotel. I think that all the services like the conventional inn charged the hotel side with an excessive burden.

【働き方で幸せになれる】
昨日はぼくのホームグラウンドである、甲子、須立、三本槍、赤面を登ったトレイルランナーに温泉に寄ってもらいました。初対面なのに4時間以上も話し込んでしまう偶然の出会いがあることは宿をやる楽しさのひとつです。
ぼくはいずれ宿の仕事のウェイトを半分以下にしたいと思っています。投資効率を考えればRevPAR（稼動×単価）を最大化することは至上命題なのですが、自分自身のやりがいやモチベーションを維持するには、今注目される副業ならぬ複業の発想が必要だと思います。
ぼく自身まったく縁のなかった福島県の自然のなかに暮らしてみて世界が広がり、仕事を通じた人生に多様な可能性が見えてきました。生涯ひとつの仕事、生涯一拠点居住という発想は自らの可能性を閉ざすと思います。
インターネット技術そのものは世界を大きくは変えなかったのですが、そのインフラがシェアリングエコノミーを実現したことで社会生活は大きく変わると思います。シェアリングエコノミーの代表はAirbnbやUberだと思われていますが、一番大きな変化は個人のスキルのシェアリングだと思います。生涯ひとつの仕事で働く終身雇用の時代は早晩終わりを告げるのでしょう。いまの時代の企業は事業領域が広がり、昔のように「○○業」と単純に表現することが難しくなっています。個人も多様なスキルと可能性を広げる時代だと思います。
【I can find happiness by a way of working】
I had the trail runner who climbed Mt.Kashi that was my home field, Mt.Sudachi,Mt.Sanbonyari, Mt.Akazura stop at the hot spring yesterday. It is one of the pleasure to do a hotel that there is the accidental encounter that has a long talk more than four hours though it is the first meeting.
I want to half do below weight of the work of the hotel sometime soon. It is a supremacy proposition to maximize RevPAR (operation X unit price) if I think about investment efficiency, but a side business to attract attention thinks that an idea of the double work that it is not is necessary now to maintain own worth doing and motivation.
Myself lived in nature of Fukushima where I did not have much really, and the world spread out and saw a variety of possibility in the life through the work. I do one work throughout the life and think that the idea called one base residence shuts own possibility throughout the life.
The Internet technology itself did not greatly change the world, but thinks that the social life greatly changes because the infrastructure realized sharing economy. The representative of the sharing economy is thought to be Airbnb and Uber, but thinks that the biggest change is sharing of the personal skill. I will tell the end in due course in the times of the lifetime employment to act by one work throughout the life. In the company of the present times, a business domain spreads out, and "○○ business and a thing expressing simply become difficult as in the past. I think that it is the times when the individual widens a variety of skills and possibility.
